Or was it just a slow day and you couldn't think of anything clever to whine about, so you picked on something that everyone moans about every year?

What next? Complaining about the weather and the chairs at Bingo?

You're a journo... think of something witty and original or get a real job.

Re: Starbucks Christmas Company II

u guys its red cups big deal they start xmas music i love the holiday's and the red cups it just means winter is coming and know more swetey day I LOVE CHRISTMAS AND I"M GLADE THAT THEY BROUT IT OUT SO EARLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Starbucks Christmas Company II

I am a Starbucks partner ,and I do not know what store you were at, but we do not do Holiday setup until the Tuesday night before Thanksgiving,so maybe your letter has been taken in to consideration in their holiday decision making process.

Re: Starbucks Christmas Company II

Tara and Aja,

Where and how did I or any of the commenters indicate a dislike of the Christmas spirit?

Re: Starbucks Christmas Company II

I guess "I will not be purchasing any Starbucks products" means nothing.

Re: Starbucks Christmas Company II

haha, Aja - my sentiment exactly. It's not just me."

Andrew,

I will say though, that Starbucks customers are a loyal bunch, and they will keep coming back, as you do. You may be annoyed, but you come back every time. And the Christmas music might actually bring IN customers - for a net gain, which I can't understand, but which is sadly what it's all about.

Re: Starbucks Christmas Company II

Dean,

A station has done that here as well. I've never understood the "all Christmas decorations must be in place by Thanksgiving" mentality of some people.

I remember as a kid in Canada, puttin gup the tree and decorating the house about a week (2 max) before Christmas. And they were always down by January 1st.

My favorite line from a TV show exemplifies how I see Christmas in America. It's from Roseanne:

Roseanne: Dan, go outside now and take down the Christmas lights

Dan: Like I got anything better to do on THanksgiving!

Re: Starbucks Christmas Company II

Here in the Detroit area, one of the major radio stations switched to a mostly-Christmas-music format a couple of weeks ago. I was stunned.

On the other hand, I've been hearing complaints about companies bringing on Christmas stuff too early for my entire life. People were complaining about this as far back as the mid-1970s, when I was first old enough to notice the complaining (I was born in 1966). So I don't know, am I wrong, or is this really just a constant in life, that every year some companies will start ridiculously early and every year people will complain about it?

Re: Starbucks Christmas Company II

Nice Andrew.

Re: Starbucks Christmas Company II

shut the hell up, scrooge

Re: Starbucks Christmas Company II

pRiMaL_AnOmiNiTy,

It was sarcasm used to make a point.

Re: Starbucks Christmas Company II

Amen Brutha.

Re: Starbucks Christmas Company II

Just a comment on the S-Bucks thing. I agree with the whole Xmas thing early.. But, they wear green aprons all the time. I believe the logo is green and White so they really dont get brownie points for the St. PAtty's ay thing for me.. :~) They wear those aprons everyday.

Re: Starbucks Christmas Company II

I posted a similar rant the other day. A pedestrian is waking past my window, smelling and lightly sipping something out of a red cup. A gust of 60 degree wind comes in and cools my bones to a point where I am startled and awakened completely.
